"My3D" is a stereoscopic imager from Toymaker Hasbro with a slot for an iPhone at the end, enabling users to play with apps and augmented reality.
The kit will cost $30 and will include apps that provide 3D motion tracking. That means with newer iPhones and iPod Touches, not only will the images appear to be in 3D, they'll move around when you physically look in different directions. They'll be like binoculars to a virtual world.
Images from the camera can be overlaid with graphics, animations, and the like.
"My3D" represents an interesting development in augmented reality as it is relatively cheap and for kids.
